Temperatures in 2023 remained significantly higher than usual, possibly resulting in an earlier flowering for each variety. In 2023 , three varieties, “Sapporo Midori”, “Sayane”, and “Yukihomare”, reached flowering around July 11 and setting around July 18. On the other hand, “Aoshizuku” reached flowering around July 19 and podding around July 26, indicating that it was a late bloomer compared to the other three varieties.
