In six of eight pigs, the pattern of fluctuations of fecal progesterone was similar to that of swine with normal estrous signs. An appropriate mating period was estimated for the six pigs based on the change in fecal progesterone level, and artificial insemination was performed accordingly. As a result, four of the six pigs conceived and gave birth. These findings suggest that estimating estrous cycles based on the measurement of fecal progesterone levels is effective for the reproduction of Mexican hairless pigs with unclear estrous signs, and that a commercial bovine milk progesterone quantitative EIA kit can be used for this measurement.}, pages = {630--633}, title = {糞中プロジェステロン濃度の推移から推定した交配適期におけるメキシカンヘアレスピッグの人工授精による受胎成績}, volume = {61}, year = {2008} }
